The DiversityNXT Awards are the pinnacle of recognition for minority business performance, utilization and advocacy of the use of diversity suppliers in the next generation of the telecommunications industry. TIG confers the DiversityNXT awards to highlight the accomplishments of a trailblazer, a corporation and a diverse supplier who have made great strides into the next generation1 of the telecommunications industry.

  • DiversityNXT Trailblazer Award will be awarded to an individual who is a long-term diversity pioneer in our industry.

  • DiversityNXT Gen Corporation Award will be awarded to a corporation who has been innovative in the way it has used a diverse supplier in its supply chain to provide a solution to a business problem or opportunity in the next generation of the telecommunications industry.

  • DiversityNXT Solution Supplier Award will be awarded to a diverse supplier who has created the most innovative solution to solve a customer problem in the next generation arena. This award shows how diverse suppliers can provide value and/or cost reduction in the overall supply chain.

1. Next Generation programs should include the following products: IMS, Broadband Service Deployment Strategies, 3G, WiMAX, etc.

Submission for 2008

The nomination period for the second Annual DiversityNXT Awards is now open.

Please submit corporate candidates who have been instrumental in using diverse suppliers to make an impact in the next generation of the telecommunications industry, or certified diverse suppliers who have provided value or a solution to a corporation in the next generation of telecommunications.

Send the name and contact information (including e-mail address and phone number) to the DiversityNXT Awards Committee by April 30, 2008.

The DiversityNXT 2007 Award Winners

The first DiversityNXT 2007 Trailblazers Award was presented to Robert "Bob" Johnson, founder of Black Entertainment Television (BET).

The DiversityNXTGen Corporation Award was presented to Motorola, Inc.
